About

I am just and ordinary person, well schooled in life with a PHD from the “School of Hard Knocks”! Looking back over my life and thinking about all the fun I’ve had, so I stated this little blog about Cedar Point… Thrill Rides and the Jumbo Jet… Let’s Ride!

    Hi,

i stumbled upon your site from a coney island message board. we were talking about Palace Playland at Old Orchard beach Maine, which i live 40 minutes away from. they used to have a jumbo jet there, which people have said was the same one from cedar point. i never got to ride the jumbo jet, as i was too little, but i do remember seeing it. anyway, now i want to ride the coaster i never got to ride…

Thanks for stopping by.. Any proof that you can provide that the Jumbo Jet that was at Cedar Point move to Palace Playland at Old Orchard beach Maine? I am having a hard time tracking this ride and any information that you can provide would be great! Thanks

do you have an email address, so i dont litter your “about” page with a series of responses? here is the page i read that info on…http://www.rcdb.com/3716.htm

i also can email you a link to an 8mm home movie of cedar point in 1972. it shows the jumbo jet a bunch of times.

i may have some other info, if i can find it…

I have an old post card from old orchard beach (palace playland) and the JJ that they used to have is consistent with the one from CP due to the red track with blue supports and the same style sign mounted on the top. RCDB.com also lists Cedar points and Palace Playlands as the same one.

Ryanjm13, I would love to see that post card… Do you have it posted anywhere? I know that RCDB says that the JJ that was at CP was then moved to Orchard Beach/Palace Playland. Up to now I do not know of any proof that these 2 coasters are one in the same.

Nice pics of the Jet star 2, oddly named jet star 3 at parken zoo in sweden. Looks like it has been sold and may be off to poland..

    Hi there,
A few months back you asked if I could send you a picture of my Jumbo Jet sign to be posted on the blog… Do you have an email address so I can send it directly?
    Thanks & Happy New Year,
