Cedar Point Halloweekends

This is a trip report that I wrote for mycpguide:

Cedar Point Halloweekends All you fear is here! (5 out of 5 stars)

WOW is all I can say when it comes to Cedar Point and Halloweekends (Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday till November 1). First off Cedar Fair was offering some great discounts at Castaway Bay, they had rooms for $79.00 and Cedar Point tickets for $25.00. I felt as if it was 1984 all over again. WTF CP tickets for 25 bucks #NOWAY. We arrived at Castaway Bay after visiting my Mother in Ashland Ohio. It was a straight shot up 250 to Sandusky Ohio. It had rained most of the day and we were hoping that by the time we got to Sandusky the rain would end and it did. We checked in at 4:30 got our discount tickets and headed up the cause way to the park. I think that this is the 1st time that I have been to Cedar Point this late in the season. Once in the park we headed directly to the Maverick, because we knew this would be our longest wait. It was a hard decision to figure out what to do and when. If your like me, you love to rides and you like haunted houses, you really have some hard choices to make. So we decided that a mix of rides and haunted events would fill out our fight nite. Out 1st haunted stop was “Undertaker U” not to scary but a lot of fun. If you went to Halloweekends last year then you probably saw this one. We finished up Frontier Town with rides on the Skyhawk and CCMR, then headed to the front of the park. On our way we made a stop at Top Thrill Dragster, no fright needed here, this thing will scare the crap out of you! Up next was “Happy Jacks Toy Factory” right under Disaster Transport. You do not want to miss this one. It’s a walk through of a toy factory that has gone wrong. Way Wrong. It may seem as if the line is long, but it is worth the wait. After HJTF we hopped on MaxAir for a spin. Then over to “Erie Estate” which was good but not very scary at all. I think that the best part of our trip was riding Millennium Force at 11pm at night. With the man made fog coming up from the haunted Frontier Trail and CarnEvil, Millennium Force seemed a bit possessed. Very Cool indeed. Once off the Millennium Force we headed down the haunted Frontier Trail and they almost scared the you know what out of me. Since our time was limited in the park, we did miss some things. When you go to CP for Halloweekends take 2 nights to see everything and still get to ride your favorite rides… That’s what I am going to do next year.. Can you say Platinum passes? Let’s Ride!
